On February 28, 2018, operators from Pennsy Supply and Old Castle Materials attended an operator training session at the Volvo Customer Center in Shippensburg, PA. This event was a joint venture between the customer, Highway Equipment & Supply Co., and Volvo CE to promote the importance of incorporating training as a component to the products.
"The value is not just the offering of a loader, excavator, or paver," said Brownstown Territory Sales Manager Joel Taylor, who represented our company as a co-facilitator at the training. "It's about the comprehensiveness of the complete package, which includes operator training, mechanical training, and safety training. We are encouraging our customers to take advantage of this complete package."
The training facilitator was Tyler Smith, a former field technician at our Harrisburg branch, who joined Volvo CE as their Operator Training Specialist. The three machines Smith covered at the training were articulated haul trucks, excavators, and wheel loaders.
