Let's Talk About Your Undercarriage

Updated: Apr 6, 2020

Your Volvo CE machine's undercarriage takes a beating; its parts are exposed to wear and stress on the job. If you keep the system in good condition, you will reap the benefits of superior performance, safety, and effectiveness from your machines.

Volvo CE's Undercarriage Inspection Program is a full-service package that optimizes your undercarriage's life by collecting data and creating a tailored plan for your machine. Through resources like Visual Inspections, MATRIS, and Genuine Volvo Parts, the plan provides maintenance schedules, preventive measures, and support.

By participating in the program, you will receive:

  • Regular Visual Inspections by Volvo CE technicians or Highway staff

  • Status reports and wear trends generated by advanced software

  • Maintenance recommendations based on wear reports

  • Part replacements and service

  • Inspection and service plans

Visual Inspections

The first stage of the inspection is an undercarriage walkaround to find any visible issues. Highway and Volvo CE experts can also show you how to do a basic undercarriage inspection so you can identify deviations early and take action.

MATRIS

Highway uses the Machine Tracking Information System (MATRIS) to produce an undercarriage wear status report based on the machine's operating hours and inspection information. The MATRIS reports convert data into graphs to show wear trends, allowing customers and Highway staff to make solid preventive-maintenance decisions.

Genuine Volvo Parts

Adding a foreign part to a system can disrupt the machine's optimal performance, cause further damage, and nullify applicable warranties.

Volvo CE's durable and reliable undercarriage components are designed to interact with each other. When you need to replace an undercarriage part, Genuine Volvo Parts help you maintain your machine's reliability by keeping the parts operating together as intended.
