On October 16 and 17, 2018, Jennifer Nauss, HR, Marketing, & Communications Manager, attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology Career Fair in Williamsport, PA. Jennifer was joined on October 16 by Ryan Flood, Vice President, and on October 17 by Brownstown Service Manager, Rick Ney.

The Penn College Heavy Construction Equipment (HCE) Technology - Technician Emphasis Associate of Applied Science Degree provides a valuable source for talented technicians. The competition to recruit these students for internships and full-time employment was evidenced by representation from every major heavy equipment dealership in the mid-Atlantic at the Career Fair.

More than 300 employers attended the newly-expanded two-day Career Fair representing more than the 100 majors Penn College offers. Despite expansions, the Career Fair had a 90-employer waiting list.

“Due to the popularity of Penn College’s Career Fairs, I always register on the first day," said Jennifer. "You can’t compete for these students without an active and engaging presence at the Career Fairs and on campus. It’s a vital part of my recruiting strategy. This program is invaluable to Highway’s future growth, and I am always looking for opportunities with Penn College’s awesome Career Development staff and HCE Tech program faculty to get in front of the HCE Tech students.”

Look for Jennifer at the March 2019 Penn College Career Fair. If you are a Penn College HCE Tech student interested in a summer 2019 internship or you are graduating in May 2019, contact Jennifer about opportunities at our four branches before the spring rush begins.
