Keystone Construction & Mining Equipment, the sister company of Highway Equipment & Supply Co., recently announced the appointment of branch manager, Frankie LaScola to head their operation in the Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. With a remarkable background and a genuine passion for equipment, LaScola is poised to lead Keystone in providing top-notch support for NPK Construction Equipment, ASV Track Loaders, Diamond Mowers, and more. We recently sat down with LaScola to learn more about her journey into this exciting new role.
LaScola, raised on a farm, developed a deep-rooted love for equipment through experiences in her youth. Although initially aspiring to be a music teacher, she changed direction during college, finding an interest in marketing and business management. With her farming background, exposure to equipment operation, and the guidance from her father, it was only a matter of time before Frankie developed a love of the equipment world. She spent time in the corporate realm before accepting a role closer to home gaining valuable experience as a warranty administrator for a heavy equipment company. From providing support to customers, to learning to operate equipment to perform basic tasks, she’s found joy in every aspect.
In our interview, Frankie revealed her approach to her role, emphasizing the importance of treating every situation as a partnership and service opportunity. When asked about her experience as a female in a male dominated industry, Frankie explained that she finds it beneficial to be able to approach projects and challenges from a more nurturing and caring perspective, common amongst women. She finds that viewing herself as a partner to offer the best solution, and not taking things personally, allows for strong relationships between team members, as well as with customers.
Upon learning about the establishment of Keystone as the new dealer for NPK in Western Pennsylvania, LaScola saw this role as branch manager as a chance to build something from the ground up and contribute to growth of a company with strong ties to an established leader (Highway Equipment & Supply Co.) in the Pennsylvania heavy equipment industry. She welcomes this opportunity for career advancement and is ready to take on new challenges as branch manager. LaScola believes in providing the best solutions with a nurturing and caring approach.
