Volvo CE has improved excavator and wheel loader productivity potential by providing Dig Assist and Load Assist on select models. Dig Assist Start, the basic Dig Assist Package, now comes standard on new EC220E to EC480E excavators, and Load Assist comes with new L150H to L260H wheel loaders.
Powered by the Volvo Co-Pilot display, Dig Assist Start and Load Assist provide real-time guidance for operators to enhance performance, productivity, and safety. Load Assist also has a new Operator Coaching app.

Dig Assist Accuracy
Dig Assist Start maximizes excavator productivity by making it easier for operators to dig, trench and excavate. Operators can also create complex, multidimensional site profiles to improve performance with optional upgrades to Dig Assist 2D, Dig Assist In-Field Design, and Dig Assist On-Board Weighing.
Dig Assist delivers excavation accuracy through the Volvo Co-Pilot in-cab tablet, sensors, and GNSS, the latest location technology.
Load Assist Real-Time Information
Load Assist provides real-time intelligence to the operator and work-order documentation to equipment owners and their customers.
On-Board Weighing, a factory-fit system that can achieve +/- 1% accuracy on every bucket and ensure machines shift the optimal load, saves you time and money. With real-time insights into the bucket's load, operators can eliminate:
Overloading
Underloading
Reweighing
Wait times
Using Volvo Co-Pilot, you can:
Monitor loading progress
Track materials and trucks
Change work orders in seconds
Load Assist is also available as an option on L110H and L120H models.
Operator Coaching: Valuable New Load Assist Feature
To improve operator performance, Volvo CE added Operator Coaching to its Load Assist program as a standard feature on L150H to L260H wheel loaders.
Operator Coaching is an intuitive app that helps operators understand how their actions influence machine productivity and efficiency by providing real-time guidance on issues, including:

Braking
Throttling
Engaging the transmission lock-up
Driving techniques
