EC200E Fills Gaps With New 20-Ton Excavator
Updated: Apr 6, 2020
Volvo CE's new EC200E crawler excavator, debuted at Bauma 2019, is a 20-ton class excavator that fills that gap between the 16-and-22-ton options so customers can enjoy strong performance and quality in light-to-medium applications without the large-excavator cost.
“This machine’s size and price point make it a great new option for rental yards and small-fleet owners looking to take on bigger projects, particularly those in the building segment,” said Volvo CE Excavators Product Manager Sung Sook Kim.
A Strong Addition
The EC200E is a new class size in Volvo CE’s North American crawler excavator lineup between the EC160E and EC220E.
Maximum digging reach: 32 feet, nine inches
Maximum digging depth: 22 feet, three inches
Lifting capacity: 16,138 pounds
The X1 hydraulic piping and attachment management system allows operators to preset hydraulic flow and pressure for up to 20 attachments, and they can swap attachments quickly with the machine's quick couplers.
Additional features include:
Like all Volvo CE excavators, the EC200E is backed by the Volvo Lifetime Frame and Structure Warranty, which covers the frame, boom, and arm for the entirety of the initial ownership period ownership. It is also eligible for a free year of ActiveCare Direct®, Volvo CE's 24/7/365 active machine monitoring and fleet utilization reporting service.
The EC200E also comes with the Volvo Fuel Efficiency Guarantee. If the machine’s fuel consumption and productivity do not meet model-rated efficiency levels, Volvo CE will reimburse a portion of the additional fuel.
